I could always imagine visually, but, starting learn ASL, it connected my thinking and moving and I needed that. My name Demecus Griffin. I’m deaf myself well not 100% I’m deaf in one ear. My hearing is bad in my right ear I can hear about 65/75% in my right ear with my hearing aid. Without it I’m deaf like crazy ppl. I’ve been a professional truck driver since 2015. Most people don’t even recognize I’m hearing impaired and talk extremely well. Yes I was born with out the ability to hear in my left ear and my right is falling so I have a hearing aid and I am in high school and the military came to see if Anyone was interested and when I told them I needed a hearing aid to hear sometimes they said that I would be disqualified and best not to try to join

No, as a hearing person I don't consider Deaf of Hard of Hearing people disabled. The Deaf and Hard of Hearing are their own language and culture, such as English and Spanish. Labeling deafness as a disability is like saying, "oh, you don't speak Spanish? You must be disabled." There's nothing wrong with the deaf/hard of hearing community, they can do all we can do, just without sound

Now I'm 18y, I'm finishing school and I've always dreamed of being an airline pilot. You guys think that it would be possible for me to pass the class 1 medical exam? It's no different here in Brazil, the Deaf around here can't even try school, and in the medical exam they are excluded and discriminated against. I signed the petition, wish you good luck, we're fighting around here too.
